About

Hi, I’m Elin — an artist working in still life and landscape through oil pastel and oil painting. I’m drawn to florals, glass, water, and architectural forms, and to the way light and reflection shift across a surface. My work focuses on color relationships, structure, and movement, using layered pigment and expressive mark-making to give familiar subjects depth and energy.

I studied graphic design and photography at the Rochester Institute of Technology, graduating in 2019. That foundation continues to shape how I approach composition, spatial balance, and visual rhythm in my paintings.

From my home studio in Erie, Pennsylvania, alongside my family and our black cat, Friday, I create original works, prints, patterns, commissions, and small collections. My practice is rooted in experimentation and refinement — building cohesive bodies of work while continually exploring how color and surface can transform everyday forms into something dimensional and alive.
